Kathleen Hay of Kathleen Hay Designs won the Best Global Interior Design Award at the 2025 Design Et Al International Design & Architecture Awards, held in September at London’s JW Marriott Grosvenor House. Her Miami Beach waterfront project stood out for its seamless blend of modern architecture and serene, nature-inspired interiors. Collaborating with architect Ralph Choeff and contractor Andian Group, Hay renovated and expanded a four-bedroom home, incorporating a floating guest suite above a private water feature, a custom Boffi wine cave, soaring ceilings connected by a glass catwalk, and lush tropical landscaping. The result is a luxurious yet inviting coastal retreat for a Massachusetts family seeking respite from northern winters. This accolade reinforces Hay’s established reputation, marked by nine Andrew Martin Designer of the Year shortlists.
